Consignment Policy

Furniture

The Consignment Studio previews each item and selects the highest quality previously owned furniture and accessories. Furniture must be in good repair, clean and an acceptable style. Saratoga Consignment Studio reserves the right to reject any item. Our goal is to provide the finest in gently used home furnishings and accessories for our customers. We will only accept items that we believe will sell quickly.  PLEASE NOTE: All items must be from a smoke free, pet damage free, & sun damaged free home.  Also, sofas and chairs must be clean under all cushions.  Items that do not meet these requirements run the risk of refusal at the time of delivery.  Undisclosed damage runs the same risk of refusal

Payment

At Saratoga Consignment Studio, consignors receive 50% of the final selling price. Consignors can either pick-up their check on the 15th of each month for items sold in the previous month or we will mail it to you by months end if prior arrangements have been made.. In the rare event the merchandise has not sold within the 8 or 12 - week term of the consignment contract, it must be picked up within 5 calendar days. If the merchandise is not picked up, we will donate it, on the consignor's behalf.

Saratoga Consignment Studio welcomes potential consignors to bring items directly to our studio. You will need to call to schedule a time for us to look at your items.  Our staff is available to discuss the value of quality merchandise. You may also call ahead, as our staff can often determine over the phone if your items are marketable.
